It’s easy to forget that we can empower people’s lives when we buy the simplest things in life from food to fashion. Through this partnership of philanthropy and fashion, every item is designed by kate spade new york and crafted by female artisans in war-torn countries. For every item sold, kate spade new york provides training, wages and sustainable employment to women all over the world.

My brother Robert has been part of the spade family for years as the buyer at their men’s line, jack spade, so I was able to get a sneak peek of the collection at their fall Women for Women International Annual Gala as well as hang with fabulous women like Marie Claire’s Joanna Coles and Deborah Llyod.
